The Darfur´s Rebels would turn into separatists, demanding self-determination for their region
By Bushara Ahmed Gumaa, President of Darfur´s Friends Association
May 2nd, 2005If the culprits of Darfur´s atrocities are not punished by an independent court outside Sudan, then the rebels would turn into separatists demanding self-determination for their region. This is not a prophecy neither my desire, it’s just my analysis and my point of view. Because, the unique medicine that can cure the wounds of the survivors of darfur´s Genocide and the pains of their relatives is a fair Justice. Otherwise, the revenge would take place sooner or later, when the weak victims become strong. And the conflict will continue. Since there’ll not be any fair justice inside Sudan, meanwhile the dictator Omar Al-Basher’s regime is in power. So the ICC (International Criminal Court) is the best solution.
THE DICTATOR OMAR AL-BASHIR WAS RIGHT WHEN HE SAID THAT HE´LL NEVER SEND ANY SUDANESE CITIZEN TO FACE TRIAL ABROAD
Because soon his regime will collapse, In-sha Allah. Then the dictator himself would be sent to the ICC with his accomplices (Janjaweed leaders and the Genocide’s architects, such as Ali Osman Taha)
In 1985 the dictator Nimeri declared himself a super dictator after sixteen years in power. He said that nobody in Sudan could topple his regime. Some days later the people had courage; they moved against his empire and sent him into exile.
The present dictator has stayed the same period of time as the former dictator Nimeri (sixteen years), and he’s despot like him, but he’s stupider than Nimeri. Because, he’s defying the whole international community. The same stupidity was committed by the dictator Sadam Hussein when he invaded Kuwait and he refused to withdraw peacefully, defying the UN resolutions.
Now the coward dictator Omar Al-Bashir is raising the flag of patriotism and hiding himself behind religion to avoid the trail of the ICC. And hypocritically he called for Jihad against the enemy of Islam and the nation. So, these attitudes would have severe consequences for our country. Since the UN resolution 1593 is under article 7, that means the regime has no other choice than to comply with the resolution either peacefully or by force.SUDAN, WAKE UP!! AND FIGHT AGAINST THE DICTATOR OMAR AL-BASHIR SO AS NOT TO SUFFER LIKE IRAQ HAS…
Sudan don’t sleep anymore,
Wake up, the sun of freedom is shinning
from Ukraine to Lebanon.
Don’t be hopeless; don’t commit suicide drinking adulterated alcohol.
Drink courage and fight,
Words are stronger than bullets.Shout very loud: FREEDOM!! FREEDOM!! FREEDOM!!...
DOWN!! DOWN!! TIRANT!!...
NOW!!, NOT FOUR YEARS MORE
NOW!! NOW!! NOW!!...Dictators hate freedom, freedom of expression and fair election,
because these mean their destruction. All the nations around the world are fighting against dictators:
our brothers in Togo, and the Egyptian have raised the flag of freedom
saying ENOUGH!! to their “Pharaon”. Then, why not you, dear Sudan ?
why do you kneel down to the dictator?
Don’t you know that Al-Bashir is hypocrite, fake and coward like Nimeri?
Both throw stones and hide behind religion.Sudan, wake up and fight, don’t accept half solutions,
don’t accept conditional freedom like prisoners.
Freedom cannot be divided in pieces, freedom is dignity,
freedom is the life and you deserve to live.Dictators never want to leave power; they’re like Jahanam(2),
always say “hal min mazeed” (3).
Abuod was the little dictator, because after the death of Al-Qurashi
and others he abandoned the power.Nimeri was a wicked and a “big” dictator, because he refused to abandon
the power even though the blood covered el Gezira Aba, Wad Nubawi…
until the people rose up and sent him into exile.Omar Al-Bashir is the wickedest and the “biggest” dictator ever to exist in Sudan,
because he is a “butcher”, he killed more than 2.000.000 people in the south,
200.000 people in Darfur, among other crimes. And he’s still resisting to leave power.Wake up Sudan and fight, because too many people have died for nothing,
Too much money has been wasted for nothing.
Decades of war, starvation and misery called AL-INTIKAS,
but hypocritically called AL-INGAZ(4) by the blood thirsty dictator Omar Al-Bashir.
So wake up!!, wake up!!, wake up and fight for your freedom…Yesterday he called for Jihad against Garang, and after Naivasha they’ve “married”,
and today his “Jihad” is with Janjaweed. So, wake up and fight the fake dictator, because there was no Jihad in Juba, there’s no Jihad in Jabal Marah, there’re no martyrs in civil war.
There’re atrocities, pains, tears, grief and criminals of war like you dictator.(1) The setback.
(2) Hell.
(3) Is there anymore ?
(4) The salvation.
THERE’RE TEN FUNDAMENTAL REASONS THAT DISABLE THE KHARTOUM’S REGIME JUDICIARY FROM TRYING SUSPECTS OF DARFUR’S
ATROCITIES1.The regime's police do not respect any of detainees’ rights. Moreover, they use torture in interrogations to force detainees to confess and to say what they want to hear. In the latest supposed coup's attempt to topple the dictator Omar Al-Bashir's regime, some detainees have died bleeding from the torture that they've suffered meanwhile at the police custody. Obviously, they are not going to torture their friends (those who are suspected to have committed atrocities in Darfur). But, it's possible that they could arrest innocent darfurian people and invent false evidences to charge them, so as to save high ranks members of the regime.
2. The regime’s judiciary system is not independent, since the majority of the judges are belong to the dictator’s ruling party, and the majority of the state's employees as well. Because, a few years ago, the regime purged the state’s employees (It dismissed almost all those who do not share its ideology) even though, they were the best among their colleagues. That ideological Apartheid's system was called " AL-SALEH AL-AAM " (for the benefit of all). Actually, it should be called " LE-SALEHNA " (for our benefit), that means for the benefit of the regime and its sympathizers. This form of discrimination between the Sudanese citizens made a lot of people to adapt the “JABHAGIA’S” (the regime followers) appearance, so as to avoid many problems with the regime’s “MUKHABARAT” (Intelligence service). And many others went into exile.
3. Ethnic prejudices exist as consequence of the civil war in Darfur. Therefore, the origin of the judges will be a big controversial problem: If they're from the north, they'd be suspicious of acting in favour of the suspects of Darfur’s atrocities, and if they're from the south, Darfur, , Nuba mountains, etc. will be suspicious of helping the "ZURGA"(black darfurians), the victims. Moreover, the majority of the judges in Sudan are from the north. So, the shade of partiality and the doubt always is there, even though the judge is impartial and just. But it's more probable to be partial and obey his heart, as the country, especially in Darfur, people are ethnically divided and grouped in two big groups: ZURGA(blacks) and ARABS.
4. The "WASTA"( favouritism) and the corruption are habitual practices of the AL-INTIKAS regime. Therefore, there would be some frauds in course of the trail.
5. The regime itself is implied in the atrocities that have been committed in Darfur, so it is absurd to be a suspect and a judge at the same time.
6. The witnesses who should declare before the court would be submitted to a strong pressure, because they can suffer constraints and threats from the suspects and their relatives. And from the regime’s Intelligence service as well.
7. The danger of lynching: The relatives of Darfur's Genocide victims could attack the suspects, because their hearts are suffering from high emotional pressure and hate...
8. It is possible that the international observers and the judges in charge of the iquiry would be murdered by the Janjaweed militia commands and the regime’s Intelligence service. After they’d claim responsibility on behalf of AL-QAIDA or other terrorist group as Jihad.
9. The police who would take charge of the suspects’ custody could facilitate them the way to escape or they'll hide them, since, the majority of the suspects are belong to either the police or the army. Moreover, there’re high ranks.
10. The victim's attorneys could be murdered by the Janjaweed militia commands and the regime's Intelligence service, so as to delay the process and to frighten the rest of the attorneys so as not to defend the victims. Some days ago, the following lowers: Mr. Adam Mousa Madibo, Ali Ahmed, Yusif Haggar and Dr. Abdel Nabi Haroun have been arrested just because they declared that they support the UN resolution 1593. And the regime’s mass media call all the citizens and the politicians who support this resolution as traitors and bad patriots. All these things are happenig today, so what will happen tomorrow, when the culprits are arrested and brought to justice?
THE MULTITUDINOUS DEMONSTRATIONS THAT TOOK PLACE IN KHARTOUM, PORT-SUDAN AND OTHER CITIES IN SUDAN DO NOT MEAN A SUPPORT FOR THE AL-INTIKAS REGIME
Not only some thousands of Khartoum’s citizens, but even though all the Sudanese inhabitants went out to the street, it doesn’t mean any support to the regime neither they’re against the UN resolution 1593. Since all demonstrations are organised by the regime and the Sudanese citizens under this dictator’s regime do not have any will, neither freedom, especially the freedom of expression. So, the majority of the people who went out to the street on April 5, 2005 they did it for following reasons:
They believed that the resolutions are against the country's sovereignty and Islam. And the UN is using Darfur´s atrocities (cowardly called incidents by the regime mass media such as smc) as a pretext to destroy a Muslim state governed with “a just and honourable Emir” Omar Al-Bashir, with the help of the Zionism and the Americans. Because the regime has distorted and manipulated the public opinion through the mass media, cultivating hate and fear against the UN, US and the westerners en general as enemy of Islam. So as to protect its miserable own interests. The dictator and his accomplices consider themselves as the owner of the country and they are synonymous to Sudan and its sovereignty. They believe that if they were trailed as if the nation was trailed, too. Of course, this premise is totally false. Because the dictator is not a legitimate president and the majority of the citizens detests him and maldice him privately, even though in public they shout with slogans learnt by heart, because they’ve got fear, and others do it hypocritically for their own interests. Nevertheless, some people are sincere, they cry with weeping and they complain because they saw in the horizon the "sunset" of their privileges and they've realised that some day they have to answer for the crimes that they've committed: murders, tortures, violations, corruptions, etc.
Curiously, few months ago there was a demonstration in Port Sudan, which has been organised by brave young men. But the regime's police shot them and killed dozens... and some others were seriously wounded by bullets. The victims were claiming only the basic civil rights. Nevertheless, the regime used the terror to silence their voices so as not to shout justice, equality and freedom. The citizens’ fear from the dictator’s regime has reached a incredible level: the majority of the men in Sudan have to dress like the dictator and cut their moustache and barb like him, in order to open many "doors", especially in the public administrations, which are opened widely for the regime's friends and closed for the honest Sudanese citizens who spend their life paying taxs to the dictator, and received the famous Sudanese expression " come tomorrow ", as compensation. Because, the favouritism and the corruption is the habitual practice of AL-INTIKAS's regime.
HITLAR AND MOSOLINI MOBILIZED MORE PEOPLE AND HAD MORE PUBLIC SUPPORT THAN THE DICTATOR OMAR AL-BASHIR
So, having the capacity of mobilizing people doesn't mean necessarily you are right, because all the dictators have it and, have the capacity to manipulate public opinion for their own interests. Today, the Sudanese people who live outside Darfur aren't conscious about the dimension of the atrocities that have been committed by the fascist dictator Omar Al-Bashir's regime and its Janjaweed militia, because a impermeable censorship exists, beside a tremendous campaign of disinformation.
INCREDIBLE, BUT IT’S TRUE: A friend of mine from Khartoum, who lives in Madrid, last year he went on holidays to Sudan. When he came back I asked him about the situation in Darfur. I astonished when he said to me very sure " there isn't any problem in Darfur, nothing bad is happening there" and continued arguing " what you see here on TV. it is an exaggerate information, because the Americans, the Jews and the Europeans are against us ". I assure you that my friend from the north of Sudan is a good person, but he is very innocent, because he “swallowed” the false information of the regime's TV. which is dedicated to praising the dictator and launches false images on the Sudanese reality and wastes time in recitals of Arabic poems, singing and dancing and fills the rest of time with Egyptian movies and other celebrations; meanwhile one of the major catastrophes on earth and the major current genocide in the world are precisely taking place in this country (in Darfur). Our children in Sudan are no longer say "Abuy" (dad) nor "Yuma" (Mom), instead they say "baba" and "mama" as the Egyptian children who see and hear on TV
WHY MILLIONS OF DISPLAED PEOPLE IN DARFUR AND THE REFUGEES IN CHAD DIDN'T DEMONSTRATE AGAINST THE UN RESOLUTION 1593, AND SUPPORT THE DICTATOR OMAR AL-BASHIR, LIKE THE PRIVILEGED KHARTOUM'S CITIZENS?
Those who go out to the street to demonstrate either privileged and opportunists that got benefits from AL-INTIKAS’ regime, have their brains "washed"
or frighten by the regime. Those who did whatever so as not to be arrested and accused as a member of the hard opposition groups.
The speaker of the dictator Omar Al-Bashir's regime said that sending the responsibles of Darfur's Genocide and atrocities to face trail abroad, in the International Criminal Court is like " to learn to cut the hair using the head of an orphan". So, I'd like to say to him that worst is to bombard the huts of the civilians in Darfur with Antonov plans, after ordering the fascist and damned militia Janjaweed to kill the survivors men; then rape their wives, and torture them, and to be so coward to learn cutting hair
" using the head of an orphan fetus, that even though his father has died and his mother was bleeding and suffering from agony she loved him and was giving him oxygen through the umbilical cord, with the little blood that yet remains in her veins… "WHY THE REGIME DOESN’T MOBILIZE THE CITIZENS TO SAY THANKS TO THE UN SECRETARY GENERAL, MR. KOFI ANAN. FOR HIS SUPPORT AND THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY FOR THEIR GENEROUS DONATION OF ALMOST FIVE BILLON DOLARS TO SUDAN?
The regime of AL-INTIKAS is hypocritical, fake, beggar and ungrateful: it used one “hand” to accuse the international community and the UN of being against Sudan and the Islam, and at the same time used the other “hand” to beg them money to reconstruct what it destroyed during almost two decades of war. This regime has no principal and no moral values, it just want money and power. How could it accept money from the USA, France, UK, etc. and consider them as the enemies of our nation ?
WHY DID THE REGIME OF AL-INTIKAS DIDN'T SUPPORT THE CREATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT SIGNING?
Because it already knew that some day would has to answer for its crimes against the humanity, that had committed since it came to power in 1989.
Soon, Darfur's Friends Association(DFA) will edit "THE RED BOOK", it’s written by Bushara Ahmed Gumaa. This book undresses the AL-INTIKAS' regime and demonstrates that the atrocities committed by the regime and its militia Janjaweed in Darfur constitutes a Genocide. Moreover, it details other atrocities that have been committed by the regime in the south of Sudan and in other regions of the country.
